Ranch & Land Services in Travis County

Spicewood, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Manor, Del Valle - rural acreage on the edge of Austin, and the ground work that comes before building on it.

The Ground Here

Travis County is two different places. Inside Austin it is city; outside it, the west side climbs into rocky Hill Country limestone and the east side rolls out into blackland clay. We work the rural parts of both.

On the west side the job is usually rock and slope: access cut to a homesite, a driveway that survives the grade, cedar cleared without stripping the hillside. On the east side it is more often clay — pastures, tanks and roads that have to be built to handle wet ground.

A lot of acreage here changes hands for building rather than ranching. That means clearing, building pads, culverts and an entrance — the work between buying the land and breaking ground on the house.

What that means for the work

  • Roads and drives built for rock, slope and runoff on the west side
  • Building pads and site prep ready for your builder and your trades
  • Clay-country tanks and pasture roads built for wet ground
  • Cedar and brush cleared with an eye to what stays standing
  • Entrances and gates that look right from the road

Where we work in Travis County

Spicewood, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Hudson Bend, Manor, Del Valle, Creedmoor, Webberville and the rural parts of the county in between. We do not take work inside the Austin city core.

If you are not sure which of this applies to your property or project, that is what a site visit is for. We will walk it with you and tell you what the ground is actually going to allow.
